Song Of The Day 18

Jon Gooch, better known for his multiple stage names, Feed Me and/or Spor, is a drum & bass and electro house producer from Hertfordshire, England. Jon released his debut studio album titled "Calamari Tuesday"on October 14th of this year which features fifteen original tracks. The above song, "Trap Door" features Hadouken!, a British band formed in 2006 by singer and producer, James Smith and his girlfriend, Alice Spooner. Feed Me's fast paced tempos & groovy sounds, mixed with Hadouken's bad ass lyrical content create a diverse piece of electronic music for all to enjoy!

Reel Big Fish Preview Article

Reel Big Fish, an American ska-punk band from southern California, will be taking State College by storm on November 18th. The above song, "Sell Out" was their very first hit that was released in 1996. The track gained its mainstream acclaim in the late 90's, which was just the early stage of success for this group. After 21 years of line-up changes, Aaron Barrett, lead singer, guitarist and song writer, remains the only original member of Reel Big Fish. The band's latest 2012 release called "Candy Coated Fury" is a beautiful mixture of brass instruments, groovey tunes, and extraordinary musical talents.

Accompanying them will also be Five Iron Frenzy, a band formed in Denver, Colorado in the mid 90's. Not only are they known for their many years of faithful success, but nearly eight years after their disbandment in 2001, Five Iron Frenzy produced a fan-funded album titled "Engine of a Million Plots" through a historical Kickstarter program that raised $30,000 in under an hour. The long-awaited album will drop on November 23rd and can be preordered here!

Song Of The Day 17

OceanLab is a vocal trance group formed in London nearly 13 years ago. Consisting of the members of Above & Beyond, plus female vocalist, Justine Suissa, their original success began with the single "Clear Blue Water". This above track is called "On A Good Day" and happens to be one of my personal favorite songs ever. Although OceanLab is no longer producing music, Above & Beyond's success will continue to escalate with their millions of loyal fans and weekly radio show called Group Therapy. Above and Beyond is also currently ranked #17 on Top 100 DJ's in the world.

Color Map of the Sun

Released on July 2nd, 2013, A Color Map of the Sun is American electronic artist, Pretty Lights' newest, and in my opinion, best album yet. Double vinyls, CD copies, and a documentary, which was filmed during the making of this double-disk album, were all released together on the day the album dropped. Pretty Lights, aka Derek-Vincent Smith, has headlined more monumental events than almost any other EDM artist. Derek is also widely known for constructing one of the most unforgettable light shows in the world. (Hence the name, Pretty Lights.)

Tonight in Camden, New Jersey, I have the distinct pleasure of seeing Derek perform for the second time in two years. Photos will be posted to the right! Krewella, Seven Lions, and Candyland will also be featured following the show!
