Rave Safe
The most recognized name in the EDM scene, is not one of a DJ, but a drug that has held its place in music for many decades. Two young people, one man and one woman, died of overdoses over Labor Day weekend from the well known drug, "Molly" (or pure MDMA). The start of this drug goes back to 1912 when a German company used it as an appetite suppressant. It became popular again in the 70's by a group of therapists using it for psychotherapy. The illicit rise of the drug became evident during the 80's and 90's. Molly can be found as a crystal "rock", in powder form, or inside of a clear capsule.
In the past month, Safe Raving Awareness has been brought to the attention of hundreds to thousands of ravers due to the recent deaths at
Electric Zoo Festival and many others at similar events.

Message From Beatport
I do not condone the use of illegal drugs... However, if you choose to do drugs, be responsible about it! Drink water even if you aren't thirsty, chew gum, enjoy the lights, and dance until it hurts. Listen to your body; Keep yourself hydrated!! Ask for help when you need it and take a break if you're overheating or feeling overwhelmed. Remove yourself from uncomfortable situations and always stay with a friend to avoid getting lost in crowds. Safe raving everyone!
This is a very informational post that I believe will help shed light to all those who rage to do so responsibly.
